I was walking on the sidewalk today and came upon a woman, mid fifties, sitting in the passenger seat of an idling car. She had a handful of money all fanned out, and it looked like mostly $20s. It was a lot of money. She heard me walking closer and she spied me out of the corner of her eye. She stuffed the bills into her white purse very quickly.

I smiled instead of saying hi, and I could feel her staring at me for a while.

If I knew that were going to happen, I would have snapped her photo at the moment she saw me.

I will make up a story about her instead.
