Hi, I’m Andrea

I make edtech products for teaching and learning visual media arts online at Smashcut.com.

From 2008 to 2016, I led Vimeo’s in-house video production team.

Recently, I co-founded a production company specializing in mediation videos for law firms. ⚖︎

My favorite thing is turning a great idea into something people watch or interact with, and maybe even share with their mom.

Edtech Product Leadership

Andrea leads product strategy and execution at Smashcut, a media-focused LMS built for creative learners and used by partners like NYU Tisch, Epic Games, UChicago and more. She guided the vision and development of features such as an interactive syllabus, collaboration and review tools, live 1:1 mentoring and group video meetings, and an AI-powered active learning and assessment tool for Sessions College, working closely with educators, designers, and devs to bring everything to life.

Producer / video work @ Smashcut

Smashcut believes that educational videos don’t need to be dull or boring. So we set out to make high-quality, engaging content for education. Andrea produced and directed multi-episode series for programs including NYU Tisch, Sessions College, and CAA’s INDSTRY initiative, overseeing everything from concept and scripting through shoot, edit, and LMS delivery. She collaborated with Smashcut’s Executive Producer and creative team of writers, editors, and DPs, while also appearing on camera hosting active-learning videos and site tutorials.

Producer / video work @ Vimeo

At Vimeo, Andrea ran the in-house production team responsible for original content, campaign spots, education videos, and product videos that showcased Vimeo’s tools and spotlighted its filmmaker community. She directed interviews and doc-style pieces with high-profile creators, managed studio build-out and production budgets, and partnered with product and marketing to turn sometimes complex and intimidating video technology into fun, inspiring stories for web, social, and broadcast.
